Listen carefully to the name and beginning sound of each picture: Echo,
"e"; exercise, "e,"; evergreen, "e"; edge, "e"; E, "e." This is the short
sound of "e!" Now write this letter, and say its short sound again. Then
read the review at the bottom of the page. Do this once a day until you
know the short sound of "e," and then go on to the next vowel.
